Howdy, Friends!

I missed you all this past week. I was happy to see so many of you check in to the regular Wednesday read… this week was a poem called Afterglow. I greatly appreciated the favorable responses and the feedback I received.

This week WW will be back to the old schedule…everyday a new release and a short story or poem every Wednesday… all posted at 8:00 am. What a great way to start the day!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Be sure to share your favorite posts, invite your friends or drop a note to let me know how you’re enjoying Weekly Written….I really do enjoy hearing from you.

Be good. Be blessed

See y’all Monday at 8:00 am ☺️

Afterglow

The man in the moon

He slumbers by day

He wakes at dusk

When the sun is done with her play

His light, it casts shadows

Through the trees down below

He gets straight to work

Cultivating dreams, like seeds to be sown

Watching over us so intently

While we’re warm, snug in our beds

He then succumbs to her new dawn

As we stir from the magic, he strew in our heads

Daily Thoughts

Don’t get burned out~

Despite technology and the simplification it brings, our lives are busier now more than ever. It’s hard to escape the demands, requests and even the onslaught of information that overwhelm our senses.

It can be difficult to say no, to relinquish our sense of responsibility or to seek a moment of peace. Sadly, more people are willing to shut off a light to save a few pennies than they are to turn off the source that is invading their own sanctuary.

As connected as we want to be, as we need to be, we also need to be mindful to disconnect from the chaos: put the computer to sleep, dock the phone and turn off the television. If but just for 30 minutes, unplug and rewind. You’re worth it.
