Lost in our own little worlds, we sometimes forget to appreciate all the unforeseen wonders that help make this life worthwhile. We also lose sight of who we are in this world and our place in it.
The world has grown smaller and more approachable, while we have become more distant and less refined. Our social grace has withered. We have lost our moral compass. Our ethical fiber is frayed. The Golden Rule has become a priceless commodity, lost in time, along with Common Sense.
Sad times; but, most is by Choice… we have control over our actions, our words and the way we think. Our foundation is only as strong as that which we chose to stand upon. Our character is only as solid as those traits we chose to hone it—to define us.
These times call for pause, a cleansing breath, so we can reset our pace with the world around us and become reacquainted with our own reflections. We need to be more empathetic and less judgmental. We need to be more compassionate and less bitter. We need to more forgiving and less intolerant. We need to be more human and less barbaric.
There’s a voice within us all; Listen.
We must remember, “Life is good”. And, it begins with a kind word, a simple gesture or even a gentle smile. It begins within. It begins with me. It begins with you. Each day striving to be our best…despite the resistance in this world.
Let’s make a difference.
Let’s be the difference.

It’s the humility derived from our actions, our words and even our stillness that will resonate beyond the flesh.
